Simply beautiful. Not flashy. - Steve Poole Photography: Steve Poole wanted a website that would work on his iPad. He wanted it animated and slick. And simple. Oh, and elegant. All at the same time. We said 'Stevie, it's a snap'. (Well, that's not strictly true - we never call him Stevie. Not to his face, anyway.)
Focus on the photos - Steve Poole Photography: The photos had to remain the centre of attention, so for this website the importance lies just as much in what we didn't design as what we did. A nice big image sits on the right, some nifty thumbnails can be brought up on the left (they fade away when you don't need them) and subtle captions sit down low.
Using is believing - Steve Poole Photography: Every page change features a nice gentle transition. Using clever 'Ajax' techniques (pardon the jargon) Steve's website never fully 'pops' or 'refreshes' on a page change - everything beautifully and unobtrusively transitions. It has to be used to be believed, and it all works on every computer from a ten year old PC to an iPad 2.
What the client says
"After being told by a number of award winning website designers that what I wanted was not possible, I then spoke to JOQ. They not only built exactly what I wanted but they did this at half the price of other companies quoting for a less ideal website. I am delighted with my new site and feel I am ahead of the latest technology."Steve Poole, Freelance Photographer
